Ok, here’s the email I got.
ok. Are we talking about freebies? Contests? Step 2 offers? You know, the ones that give you a free washer and dryer for completing 25 gold, silver, or bronze offers?
Or are we talking about survey companies or points sites? And just to clarify, are we talking about my website or newsletter?
and since you are daring me to post this, i will post my reply as well and I dare you to hang around and read the comments. Deal?
so lets talk about all of the above.
Freebies – I list them in the newsletter and the website. Legitimate offers by legitimate companies. If they dont send them, its not my problem. I just link to them. Now I have a set of criteria I follow when listing freebies (I try to avoid scams, old offers, etc).
Contests – I list 1 contest a day in the newsletter. I have a contest section on the website. These are contests. People TRY to win things. A few people won cars. I get paid for listing some contests, yeah (like 5% of all of the ones I list). But so what. It doesnt make the contest any less legit.
Step 2 offers – How many times have you seen one in the newsletter in the past 2 years? How about ZERO. I put 1 a day on the website on the main page. Thats it. They pay the website bills.
Survey sites – These are give and take. Some are good, some are bad. I dont know. I go by my own experience with them and by what subscribers tell me. I have also listed surveypolice.com quite a few times. Im not trying to scam anyone here. And again, some of these I list earn me money. I also get referral points.
website – you’ll see a couple of banners on the site. you’ll also see some sponsors and one step 2 offer listed on the main page. and…………………you’ll see google adsense throughout the site, which is easy to spot. Yup, im rolling in the dough, right?
Oh, but what about freebies and samples and contests, oh my! Throughout the entire site, I have close to 1,000 links. Over 900 of them go to LEGITIMATE offers.
And guess what? Legitimate website visitors come to the website to get legitimate offers that are sent to their legitimate house…at least thats what everyone tells me.
newsletter – I dont want to break down every single link I list. I’m tired.
So in conclusion, yes, my response is smartass. It’s that every few months I get an email like yours that claims nothing is ever free, you are a scam, etc, so on and so forth. Just a slight overexxageration, huh?
But whatever, you dared me to respond and publish this….

Ok,they’re just frigging liars!I get so many freebies my mailman hates me and prolly has posted my pic at the post office warning other mailmen about my large amount of freebies and contest stuff. If they’re trying to get rich off of ur website maybe they should get off their ass and get a job!I get paid $3.00 per survey thru Pinecone & then they pay me to try new products(which are full sized)Maybe they think ur that crazy dude,Carlton Sheets, lmao. If they can’t figure out how 2 get freebies from here they need serious help!!James,u rock!!
kr8zygurl…SWEET, you must have my mailman, he told me “he has never seen the likes” of what he calls junk. He asked me one day, he said I’m surprzed they ain’t sent ya some toilet paper, which I just smiled and said you wanna see? Nah James has told me about some of these wacko’s, which I still can’t beleieve how many he gets!
Hi James, and hi to unhappy whoever you are, just goes to show you some people are never happy. What does he or she expect you to do, fill out the forms and deliver the free item to them. Or maybe do the survey and cash the check for them. Ya 2 step offers are not for me either, but if you don’t like the one a day listed on the site, don’t do it. Really takes some thinking to figure that out.
As far as making money I would not recommend doing surveys for a living. Not unless you can live on maybe $50 a month, but it is a way to make some extra cash. Dear unhappy you say you want a way to make money and are willing to work hard, maybe you should look into politics, they talk allot like you and tell the truth about as much
Hmm…. Just to clarify, does the sender know the site is called Just Free STUFF and not Just Free Money? =) It’s a freebies website, not a get rich site.
Wow! I get freebies and samples, yes free samples from your newsletter/site. . . lots of them. Not scams or 3 step offers, just plain free things. James you do a great job and I thank you! If they are not getting samples then sadly there is a problem somewhere- – but not with your newsletter or site!
James,I’ve been with you since I was with Carmen and she shared your site from her webby letter. You are great and I appreciate you! I ,too, get loads of freebies from your letter/site. I say, thank you!
Hey James, just wanted to say that I love your website. I have gotten so many great free things in the past couple of years for your links. I wouldn’t subscribe if it were not on the level. Honestly this is the best freebie sight I’ve ever found. Keep up the great work.
I love this site it is one of the few that do offer free samples and alot of contest links. I love it!
My mailman told me it is job security.
I agree with all the others making comments. Your site is AWESOME! You are always ’straight up’ and warn us if ‘this is a two step offer’. Perhaps the unhappy person has a reading comprehension problem! As far as survey sites, that’s extra money, not a full time job. I say if you don’t like “our” site, feel free to click on the unsubscribe link!
Okay….I have read this person’s email a few times just to be sure that I got it all, and I am STILL not sure what the heck they are talking about! http://jfsdaily.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif Apparently, as this person says the “are just plain stupid” because they just don’t get it. I would have to assume that this person has written to the wrong James because you don’t say anything in your newsletter or on you site about “earning money” and this guy is supposedly looking for, “a legal, earning website”, so he’s barking up the wrong tree anyway or is a card-carrying member of “idiots r us”!! (my vote!)
Anyway, James, those that know you, love you and love our wins and freebies and “mad money” from surveys. (I save mine for garage sales) Keep on keeping us in the loop and let the non-believers keep on missing out on all the fun!
Thanks! Mary Miller http://jfsdaily.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/5.gif
OK……..Cat’s two cents in!!!!!
James…you know how long i have been with ya and i have gotten MANY freebies just from this site!!! What the heck is this so called lady talking about. What money site? LOL.
Sorry for the cap words, but trying to make a point with some words.
Some things you list might have small shipping like the gevelia coffee….you bet your butt i got that one.
Earn points? pay subcription?
Maybe they mean you get ONE copy free and cancel if you don’t want anymore.
Maybe this JUNE needs new glasses!!!!!!!
So, not sure if this person is actually sticking around long enough to read all these replies..but, what the heck..here goes. If I had to count how many freebies I have gotten it would take forever…I have enough free t-shirts to clothe half my town! I have won TONS of contests from this newsletter too…things from i-pods to a freakin van for gosh sake! James, you still have the pic to prove it! Things take time to get..most freebies even say it may take up to 8 weeks. As far as contests…ya can’t win if ya don’t enter. I think whoever this is just was bored or something and needed some attention. If a person has an honest gripe, James would address that as fast as he addresses stupid complaints like this. Get a life!
James,
Thanks for the personal attention you give to the freebies. I have been with you for several years and you have always written me back and encouraged me when I won! Over the years I have gotten so many freebies! I have gotten to know our Post Master just from all the the yellow cards in my box about 4-5 times a week.
There have been many samples I have recieved that I wanted to try before I bought, so thank you so much.
I look forward to sharing your site with all the people out here who love your site! Thanks again for your hard work. You make it possible for many companies to send out samples to consumers who want that service or product. Thank you! YOU ROCK!
I offer this: Take what you need and leave what you do not want.
