I think the blog just is an extra added bonus and lots of fun. Freebies are always slow in the summer, and hey..you can’t expect James to catch EVERY contest that needs a code. I like the format, the newsletter and the site. Keep up the good work my friend!

kr8zygurl said in August 3rd, 2008 at 12:17 pm

I used to belong to a bunch of other freebie newsletters and none of them ever offered the codes for contests or anything else. The other freebie letters all offer dummy freebies, you know, where you have to do the steps and jump thru hoops and join other things to get a small freebie and James rarely does these and even tells us he’s sorry about doing them(but hey, they pay the bills, huh, lol)I love the blog and read it before going thru the freebies. Thanks James, for all you do for us!

Look I come to this site because I WANT TOO, I wasn’t FORCED or LIED to. I would hate to try and imagine how much stuff I have recived in the mail FREE over the last years or so! I won’t even go into the contest that I have won. Look I can’t afford Jamesfreestuff, so if he offers free stuff, get the heck outta my way!

waynef51 said in August 3rd, 2008 at 6:54 pm

Uh the “SITE” I meant, wheres my snoops book!

CT627 said in August 3rd, 2008 at 7:44 pm

I think this is the best freebie site, hands down. I have tried others, they don’t even come close. So, you left out a code, yeah, it’s a pain when you fill out all that info only to find out you need a code. But, James is a human being, therefore, not perfect. I honestly think that’s one of the main reasons I love this site; Kr8zygurl said everything pretty well! I have been a subscriber for a while, this is the first I am posting, and I just want to say I feel like you’re all a bunch of old friends here. Leave it just as it is, and I love the blog. Thanks James, (and everyone here) for being the imperfect and wonderful people you are!!!

Let’s see, well, day after day, year after year, we all change, as well as how we do business will change. Some will prefer the old way and other’s will prefer the “new and improved” way.
I really like the site and have received thousands of dollars in samples, gifts, gift cards and checks!
I use ALOT of what James and his readers recommend! Not sure what you mean when you say “It is not what it used to be?” Perhaps you can be more specific. James, PLEASE, PLEASE, keep up your site! Were waiting for that gasoline Freebie to show up! LOL!
Now, don’t count on that one, it was a joke y’all, so please don’t get excited! Oh Darn, I wish it was for real!
Have a good one James!
Sincerely,
Maria

Well, I personally love the news letter, and the blog. even if I don’t find something every day; I enjoy going to the blog and seeing what new and creative thing I’ll find there.
I like the useless facts you throw in at the beginning of the newsletter.
Anyway thanks for the things you do. Have a good one. Mari

)::( I am disapointed by the person writing this….DON’T dare coem back if its sooo slow then. Come on! Its a great site and people should be glad to use it for FREE. Dont gripe if its not as good as it should be then make it better yourself by leaving so more of US APPRECIATIVE MEMBERS CAN WIN AND ENTER THE CONTESTS AND NOT LET ANY SPOILSPORTS COME AND TAKE AWAY FROM THIS SITE. Please dont waste our newsletter for dumba$$ comments like this. YES YOU MUST BE THE ONLY PERSON WHO FEELS THIS WAY—SO LEAVE AND DONT COME BACK!!! That is how all us happy members think and happy to get samples, for free.

It takes so much work for James to get this out everyday as it is.
I love the blog as it helps us get to know James better…so keep up the good work and I will keep coming back to your site as it is a great one and I enjoy it so much!!!

Freebies are really slow right now….seems like they usually are this time of year. I subscribe to a few freebie newsletters, & none of the others have a single thing that Just Free Stuff doesn’t have. Lots of times he has MORE than they do, & his newsletter is THE BEST out there.

James I have recieved NUMEROUS Free items, Things that would cost more then a couple dollars in the stores and even have won a few contest. I couldnt love this site more. Reading your blogs allows us to get to know you better. I have yet to read comment aggreeing with her. Seems to me you are the BEST one out there. I TOTTALLY LOVE your USELESS FACTS, because of you JAMES, I am now a little smarter. I have been a member for years and thanks to you the samples help when I cant run to the store so you also saved me gas money and time ::D :D

jwtaterbug said in August 4th, 2008 at 6:48 am

I absolutely love your site. I get way more freebies from JFS than I ever have from any site. Anyone that regularly signs up for freebies should know there are always fewer in the summer. I belong to 2 other freebie sites that I rarely get anything from. I dropped most of the sites I tried, because their so called freebies were not really free. I enjoy your newsletter and look forward to getting it every day. Keep up the good work.:A

GShelton said in August 4th, 2008 at 7:14 am

Without a doubt, the newsletter is NOT what it used to be. I have been a JFS subscriber for a long, LONG time. (I would guess better than 8-10 years. I would have to look in my archives.) Anyway, it is not what it used to be, but this is not James’ fault at all. Companies used to give away better stuff and far more often. T-shirts were more plentiful as where hats and stuff. But you can’t hold James responsible for the change. He has done a fantastic job or he would not have been here all these years.

djaime said in August 4th, 2008 at 7:21 am

I think that if someone is truely not happy with your newsletter then they should just unsubscribe.

cindy45 said in August 4th, 2008 at 7:34 am

I love your newsletter, you do everything right, if she had read what it said after she filled out the registration, she would have seen there was a free code. you do everything you can to make it easy for us, so, hello!!, if someone actually has to do a little reading for themselves then so be it. You are the best, tell her to unsubscribe if shes unhappy

Melodie said in August 4th, 2008 at 7:48 am

I’m a new subscriber so I cannot comment if the newsletter has declined, just simply say how much I enjoy it and the ease of the site.
There are soooo many contests out there I’d imagine it to be a heckuva task to provide every detail without our help. One of the things I enjoy about JFS is the humor folks have here. So in that spirit perhaps Cindy isn’t deserving of unpleasant comments, but encouragement to share info so it can be updated.
Have a great Monday all! http://jfsdaily.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/1.gif

I love this newletter…James is the best at finding freebies and contest…I think it a shame when people complain about getting free stuff delivered right to their in box…its sad really….don’t change a thing James! Your doing great! The rest of us REALLY appreciate you!!!!

rachel said in August 4th, 2008 at 8:19 am

Hi, James! I think your newsletter is great. I love getting free stuff!! If you have to go through a little survey or have codes, no one should expect you to give them all the info for EVERYTHING! You do great on all the free stuff and contests! I look forward to getting your newsletter everday. I also would like to add that you took her letter and and gave her a chance to get others opinions. You also handled this matter in a very polite and rational way. Kudos to you!! lol You are GREAT!!

Alegria said in August 4th, 2008 at 8:30 am

I have been a subscriber for a LONG time. I love the site and the daily letter. I have not noticed any decline in the letter or site. I used to get a ton of freebie daily letters, and paid attention to which one or ones had the good stuff. Now I only read ONE-Just Free Stuff. I started keeping a list of the free stuff I got, to see if I was really getting much stuff I sent away for. That list is over 14 pages long now. Keep up the great work, James!

emichelle1113 said in August 4th, 2008 at 8:45 am

Yes, you probably are the only one who feels this way.

I was walking through the park yesterday when a homeless man approached me. He saw that I had a sandwich, and said he had not eaten in three days, and could he have a bite of my sandwich? I gave him half. He opened it and quite ungratefully said, ‘where’s the mustard?’…

Dcg122259 said in August 4th, 2008 at 9:13 am

I have been a subscriber to Just Free Stuff for over 4 years and could not be happier with the job that James has done with the newsletter and site.
All of the freebies and contests I have won and received to date total well over $ 3500.00. And that does not include payments from the surveys he has turned us all onto. Like you James I am still waiting for the BIG win……….But, everyday I enter contests and I am rewarded enough through those little wins (biggest was a year to Netflix) to keep doing it.
I say if you don’t like the site go elsewhere. But, beware the majority of free sites out there are really a facade offering free stuff to you after you put up a credit card and join a trial offer. Which you then have to spend months trying to cancel. What is the fun in that?
As long as James sends the newsletters I will remain a faithful reader.

Diana

I see a lot of times it is the same stuff! And when you get on the website it is the same stuff in the catagories too. I think when you do your blog make sure you tell people it is a 5 page survey! OR like sometimes, tell them just register. Everybody can always do better! Never think you are at the top of your game!

If you still don’t like it, unsubscribe–it’s a free world!

Dear James,
Your site is awesome, in case you don’t get enought pats on the back. I entered the very same energy caps contest and had no trouble. The contest in now over, so I can’t go back and double check – but I had no problem whatsoever with the contest.

vincette said in August 4th, 2008 at 10:26 am

i have been getting justfreestuff newsie for years now, and belonged to several others. and this is by far the best ive run across. there are others that are good too, but james’ is the best.
this guy runs the site, finds us freebies, gives us codes, reads our letters, answers our questions, (which im sure is a full time job in itself), has a regular “out in the world” job and has a family. thats a heck of a lot of responsibility and time.
so there wasnt a code. big deal. one out of thousands. i think those are pretty good odds. i know i couldnt do all that james does. so james, if you read this, keep rockin’ on, and thanx again. you do a fantastic job!!!

VickiW said in August 4th, 2008 at 10:41 am

Reality has it that you won’t catch everything, and you won’t please everyone, but heck…you don’t need me to tell you that. Perhaps she’d had a bad day or something, leading to her finding something wrong with that site, then actually taking the time to complain to you~Have a great day!

This is the BEST Freebie site and newsletter I have ever received. James, You rock. You give us all the information we need and I’ve received so many freebies because of your newsletter. Interesting facts to start out and then to the really good stuff. I love the emails you post, how come I don’t win all those goodies, yes I know, you have to have dedication to enter the contests daily then you’ll win! Excellent freebie site, I recommend you to everyone I know!

mom24monsters said in August 4th, 2008 at 11:52 am

http://jfsdaily.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif The way I see it, isn’t it enough that freebies are offered? Is it too much to ask that somebody actually have to do a little bit of work, such as get their own codes to get said freebie? The publisher of any newsletter such as this, not only has the newsletter to write, out of the goodness of his heart, to make life easier and nicer for us, who don’t always feel like going out and looking for them ourselves, but he also has to balance real life on top of doing this nice thing for us. I think it is a horrible thing to criticize him because he didn’t have a code. If it wasn’t provided for him when he was told about the freebie, he obviously doesn’t have a code. He isn’t required to go out and buy a product just to get a code for us, so we can get a freebie.

If this comment is too harsh, I’m sorry, but it is how I, and, I’m sure, other people feel. Just because a person has gotten a code in the past, lucky you, but don’t expect that all the time. You got lucky that time.

I get tons of junk email and I unsubscribe from all of it until I get to the Justfreestuff newsletter. I like the human element James adds to this site and I wouldn’t think of skipping his newsletter. Keep up the good work!

theramohn said in August 4th, 2008 at 9:17 pm

Well I stupidly responded to the email instead of coming here but what I basically said was that I loved this newsletter. The samples are actually FREE and so is everything else unlike those “free” sites where you have to participate to receive your “free” sample.
If I went to a site that was bad or I didnt understand I sure as hell wouldnt complain, no one forces you to go anywhere on the net. I would just chalk it up to bad luck and move on with my day even if I was frusterated because all in all the FREE things I have received more than make up for ONE bad site!!!!! http://jfsdaily.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

keh56 said in August 4th, 2008 at 9:39 pm

The economy is bad period. Companies dont have the money to give out “freebies” anymore. Things are slow everywhere, thats to be expected. And it will stay that way till after the new year, if you know what I mean. You cant expect “freebies” all the time and now its even worse, I’m sure things will pick up after the Dems take over, so hang in there!

maggiethecat said in August 4th, 2008 at 11:45 pm

No complaints from me! Your category layout is great, the whole site is. If you recommend it I trust it, be it freebies, surveys, whatever; can’t say that but for one other freebie site & I mostly read hers for the chit chat. “Justfreestuff James” is a household name around here. I’m not kidding. And when you were gone a couple days last week I was starting to get concerned. I appreciate all the work you put into your site & the extra effort to entertain us. A day without justfreestuff James would be like a day without coffee. We lubbs ya James! http://jfsdaily.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/4.gif with kind regards, terry

Everyone else has summed up my feelings, but figured I’d add them in anyways. I love the newsletter! Many times there are sweeps & freebies in there that I haven’t seen anywhere else. It’s very important that folks read the rules in a sweepstakes…she could have easily avoided filling out those 4 pages if she had done that. And quite frankly, I didn’t see that she offered any assistance in finding codes for you. I’ll never understand when someone gets something for free, then has the audacity to complain when it’s not up to their standards! Get a grip…

Thanks to James running the HoverRound info/link, I was able to gain more freedom in my life. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, & I used his link a few years ago to get more info on the chair. Well, guess what?? I qualified to get one for FREE…..now *that’s* a freebie!! I was able to go to the mall for my birthday, for the first time in years! Thanks so much, James, for ALL you do!

I have been receiving your newsletter for a very long time. Most things have already been said and I would like just to confirm that I certainly concur with all the posters about the newsletter. I can fill many pages with all the free things I have received through the years. Not only free things but have won some very wonderful things which includes the trip to New York City to meet “The Golden Girls”. What a great prize. I too had entered the Silk Milk contest but just did a little google and got a code. Easy enough. Also would like to mention that not only have I gotten free things but many times in your newsletter there are sites you direct me too that have been of great help from Computers to Health subjects. Thanks James, you have been a great help in many ways. never stop doing this newsletter. Its the best.

James, your site is the best. It has consistently been the best for a number of years. I, too, had been subscribed to several and finally dropped them all except yours.
You know, maybe what she is noticing is that freebies, in general, have diminished/ It’s not that you are doing less, it’s that the companies are not putting out as much as they used too. Also, more and more places are “hip” to freebie sites and close down the free or sample page when it starts getting too many hits. You should be commended on the awesome job you do, and your ability to continually find great freebies in today’s market. JFS has the most and the best…so keep up the good work. We all love this site.!!! (and you are awesome)

James, I agree your site is far and away the best for freebies. A couple of years ago, when I signed up from JFS, I was getting several other freebie newsletters, all of which I have unsubscribed to except yours. Yours are much more reliable (free rather than free*), we (usually) know what is required before we ever click on the link, aside from the freebies you have links to all sorts of helpful information about medical conditions, etc. The fact of the day is always fun and you have always responded when I send you a question or comment which is so nice. However, as you said, I don’t think there was anything wrong with Susie’s letter- she was just pointing out that there was an omission on this one thing and since it was a 4 pager, that’s a bummer- I feel like she was just trying to help the rest avoid making the same mistake. While we should always read the rules, it is easy to fall in to habits and since we are used to getting a code from you when one is needed it is easy to understand how she did that. I don’t usually read the blog because I just don’t have time but I like having it available and don’t think it has taken away from the site. So another vote for keep up great work!
